Story
Nothing about our golden years is guaranteed.
Post-Covid we all understand that life can throw us curveballs. None of our old retirement plans may ever have the chance to happen. So, we decided that it's time to pay much more attention to how we spend our time.
For the last 25 years, we raised a family & helped build a community. It was great, but we really just did whatever was in front of us and to be honest those years went by in a heartbeat. If we want our next 25 to be just as fulfilling, but less of a blur, then we need to be more intentional about how we spend them.
Joan is nothing if not adventurous
She’s a gamer for pretty much anything. She’ll try ANY new food, learn a new sport, hike 40 miles, make 200 homemade Christmas cards, even bungy jump. And she LOVES people. When we can’t find her in the grocery store it’s usually because she’s having “such a GREAT conversation” with someone she just met in the produce section. Wherever she goes community happens & life becomes more wonderful.
So, we're hitting the road in "Doris", our van
We'll be traveling for a year in a Winnebago Revel. Our goal is to make use of the smaller roads, not the interstates, and to visit the people and places that will make life interesting, meaningful, and fun. We have no agenda (yet?). We're just following our curiosities. And, in the process, we hope we'll discover more about what our next 25 years should look like. Wish us luck.
